The weekend kicked off Friday night with Movie Under the Stars featuring the Steven Speilberg classic "E.T."

Saturday featured some amazing musical performances by Caleb Deneau, Ben & Hay, Autumnfell and the evening headliners, The 80-IT'S along with over 25 vendors in Market Square selling food, drink, clothes, art, jewelry etc. It was a wonderful festive vibe with children's games by Bounce Brothers and the Meaford Curling Club's dunk tank being popular attractions.

PoutineFest was a bit hit as 11 of Meaford's restaurants welcomed patrons who voted for their faves. Congrats to Big Trouble/Savvy Co. for taking home the trophy with the "Butter Chicken Poutine."

We were hoping that the outdoor festivities would continue on Sunday, but Mother Nature had other plans. Despite the weather, Meaford Summerfest was an overall success.

A huge thank you goes out to our small but mighty organizing committee, our incredible volunteers, and all of our generous sponsors. Your time, energy and support are what make an event like this possible, and we couldn’t do it without you!

Thank you to everyone who came out, participated and helped make the weekend such a memorable one. We’re already looking forward to next year...
