WHSC's new virtual classroom open April 15 and 16. Register now!

To help ensure workers and workplace representatives have ongoing access to trusted training during the COVID-19 pandemic WHSC is launching its new virtual classroom.
Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) will begin by delivering legally Globally Harmonized (GHS) WHMIS training via a live (real-time), two-hour, virtual training session.
Quality WHMIS training can save lives at any time. These however, are unprecedented and challenging times. Many workers are now frequently using cleaning chemicals to keep workplaces free of potential COVID-19 exposures. Essential workplaces such as health care, retail and warehousing are also hiring new workers to meet the increased demand for their goods and services. But gathering in traditional classrooms is impossible right now. Hence, our decision to move to a virtual classroom.
Like all our training, this virtual offering of GHS WHMIS training will be highly interactive, applying adult learning principles to ensure learning is engaging, relevant and achieved.
Participants will gain an understanding of WHMIS’ hazard class pictograms and of standardized information on product labels and safety data sheets so as to ensure the safe use, storage and disposal of hazardous products in the workplace.
