- Congratulations! - to President Rob Uhrig, who was elected to Meaford Council on October 24, 2022. Rob joins a long line of Chamber board members and Presidents who have taken their service to the Community to an elevated level. Unfortunately, this means that Rob is stepping down as Chamber President and the position will be filled by long-time Board member Bob Peel, who has been serving as Acting President since October 13th while Rob was campaigning.
- Congratulations! - to Brandon Forder, who was also elected to Council. Brandon recently served on the Chamber Board of Directors and helped with Dragons Committee work.
- Welcome! - to Bob Peel as he takes over as President. Bob was GM and eventually President of Brafasco from 1987 to 2005 and has coached small businesses as HappyBoss since 2006. He served on the board of the Orangeville and District Chamber of Commerce from 1982 - 1988 (President 1987) and as a Meaford Chamber Board member and Dragon Slayer coach for the past 5 years.
- Thank you! – to Chamber Administrator Laura Pilon, who unfortunately must leave us at this time due to personal reasons. Laura was hired in April upon the retirement of Kim Ware, and has embraced the role and added her enthusiasm, professionalism and smile to all our Chamber events and activities.
- Welcome! – to Heather Saunders, who joined us as our new Administrator on November 8th. Her passion for community and customer service, along with her skills in office and data management, will benefit our Chamber and its members as she fills this role.
- New office hours are Tuesday to Thursday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and by chance or appointment Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
